🌱 Our Story
My baking journey began in 2019 in the Philippines, my hometown, driven by a simple love for sweets and the joy of sharing food with the people I care about. When the pandemic hit, baking became my comfort. I baked for my family, for myself, and for the pure delight of creating something sweet during a challenging time.
From a young age, I was fascinated by the idea of starting a baking business—even if back then it was just “kid business.” This time, I wanted to make it a reality. My family kept encouraging me about my baked goods, so I decided to try selling them through my new venture, Jamella and Khloe Confections, and share them with others. I baked cakes, crinkles, cookies, and truffles—and to my surprise, people truly loved them.
Then life took me on a significant new journey. I moved to the United States to marry the love of my life and build my family. The first couple of weeks were tough—I missed home dearly and honestly just wanted to return. But as I started baking again, little by little, it felt like home found me too. My husband adored my baking and supported me, which inspired me to start selling online and participating in booths to introduce my treats to a wider audience.
There were moments when I had to pause, especially while caring for my daughter and managing our home. Baking full cakes requires a lot of time, and I wanted to create something I could prepare with the same love and quality—but in a way that fit our family life better. That’s when I shifted my focus to crinkles.
Crinkles don’t need fancy decorating, yet they are packed with flavor, love, and care. They’re rich and fudgy on the inside—almost like brownies—and so irresistible that you just want to keep eating more. At my booths, many people weren’t familiar with crinkles at first. But once they tried them, they fell in love—and that moment never gets old for me.
Today, Jamella and Khloe Confections is built on that journey: family, faith, love, and a passion for sharing something sweet. Every bucket of crinkles is made with the same heart I started with back in 2019—just in a new place, with the same dream.
